REPLACEMENT SHUTTER INFORMATION
Several residents have encountered difficulty in finding replacement shutters for their homes. Since all of us will be experiencing this problem in the future, the Association wants to try and make it easy for you to replace or repair your shutters by providing you with the following information:
1. All replacement shutters must be approved by the Design Review Committee before you replace them.
2. Replacement shutters must match the size and style of the shutters you are replacing and originally installed by Sanford Homes.
3. Often times only the louvers need replacing. One warped louver can cause four other louvers to become warped. Replacement louvers are a minimal expense each. (Approximately $2.25 each)
4. If you need to replace the entire shutter, Home Lumber and Alpine Lumber have been working with Sanford (now April Homes) for over 15 years.
5. Please call Patti at Home Lumber (303) 791-3715 for information. Home Lumber has worked with Sanford Homes for over 15 years and is very familiar with our shutters. Approximate prices are: 18" x 59" - $155/pair; 20" x 59" - $132/pair; 22" x 59" - $183/pair; and 22" x 71" - $190/pair. Other sizes may be ordered as well.
6. Alpine can order any size shutter on a special order basis which usually takes 6-8 weeks. Please call (303) 458-8733. Approximate prices are : 18" x 59" - $165/pair; 20" x 59" - $175/pair; 22" x 59" - $185/pair; and 22" x 71" - $257/pair.
7. Prices at both companies will be subject to change.
8. The Homestead Farm Homeowners Association does not endorse one lumber yard over the other. It appears that both have exactly what we need. We simply want to help you cut through the difficulties of finding approved shutters and provide this information for you.
