I started swimming when I was six years
and swam through high school. I began coaching summer league in
2001 and am currently an assistant coach for Arapahoe High School.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in
Business Administration from Montana State University. I am currently
working on receiving my teaching certificate; working with high school
kids is my passion.
My philosophy and approach to coaching
this team is centered around the athletes. As a coaching staff
we are not just coaching swimmers, we are coaching athletes. Swimming
teaches agility, control, and endurance. I realize that not all
kids will take their swimming to the next level, and I am totally ok
with that. I believe that swimming will make them better at whichever
sports they choose to participate in as they get older. Swimming
lays a great foundation for all athletes because if they can get through
a hard swim practice, they can get through are hard practice in any
other sport.
I am an avid outdoorsman and when I am
not coaching I am usually doing something outside.

This will be my fifth year coaching for
the Barracudas, man I am getting old! My favorite stroke has always
been the backstroke and I also enjoy swimming the 100 freestyle
I swam for Arapahoe High School all four
years there. I placed 14th overall in the total amount of
points scored for the Arapahoe team. I received my varsity letter twice
in swimming, and I was named an Honorable Mention Academic All State
team. I received a Scholar Athlete Award as well. There is no swim team
at Augie, but people will find me almost every night swimming laps at
the pool.
I am now a junior at Augustana College
in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and I am majoring in Government and International
Affairs, French, and Modern Foreign Languages. I am a Distinguished
Scholar and was awarded a trip to Greece for my Spring Break; it was
just the beginning of my world travels. I ended up studying In Grenoble,
France for a semester and traveling all over Europe. I am now currently
interning for the gubernatorial race in Colorado, and love it! |

Hey 'Cudas! I'm so excited to be back
for another awesome season! I started swimming when I was 6 years old
and this is my 14th year with the HFII Barracudas. In high school, I
swam with the Arapahoe Varsity team for four years and graduated in
2009. I just finished my freshman year at American University where
I am studying History and Political Science. This summer, my philosophy
is to make sure each swimmer improves and has tons of fun both in and
out of the water. Outside of the pool, I love to run, hike, and play
Ultimate Frisbee. I'm looking forward to a great year, see you at the
pool. |

I just finished my first year of
college at Azusa Pacific University. This is my third summer being a
Coach. I have swum on the Barracuda swim team since I was 7 years old
so this will be my 13th year being a part of the team! My favorite and
best strokes are backstroke and butterfly! I am so excited for this
summer because we have a great group of coaches and fantastic swimmers!
I cannot wait to see what happens and the growth that the swimmers will
make; it is so much fun to be a part of that exciting process! However
one of the most important things to me is no matter what you do, do
it with a smile and always have fun! |

Luc Lagesse – coach
I am a senior at Arapahoe High School. I have been swimming on summer teams since I was 9 and I have been a part of Homestead Farm’s 2 swim team since I was 12. I have swum year round on Aces Swim Club for six years now and I have been on the Varsity Swim Team at Arapahoe for all three years. The past two years I have swam the 500 yard freestyle, the 2000 yard freestyle, and the 100 yard breaststroke at the High School State Meet. This is my first year coaching so I’m really looking forward to it and hope this is a great season.
